ABOUT YELLOW3 LAB

Useful technology starts with understanding the problem.

yellow3 lab is a Copenhagen-based emerging-technology company. We research, experiment with and build platforms designed to remove complexity, lower barriers and help businesses operate better.

Technology should increase what people can accomplish. Humans remain responsible for the outcome.

WHY YELLOW3 EXISTS

Understand first. Build second.

New technology creates extraordinary possibilities. It also creates noise, complexity and pressure to act before anyone really knows what matters.

yellow3 exists to work in the gap between the two. We research what is actually changing, test what emerging technology can genuinely improve and build only when the outcome is useful enough to operate in the real world.

Sometimes the result is a platform. Sometimes it is an instrument, a dataset or an experiment that teaches us something valuable. The point is not to produce more technology. The point is to make difficult things easier to understand and do.

HOW WE WORK

Research. Experiment. Build.

The sequence matters. We do not start with technology and search for somewhere to use it. We start with a problem, establish what is true, test the possibilities and build when the result is worth repeating.

01 / RESEARCH

Understand before we build.

We study markets, regulation, technology and evidence so we can distinguish between what matters, what is becoming possible and what can safely be ignored.

02 / EXPERIMENT

Test what is possible.

We prototype, connect technologies and challenge ideas. Some experiments become products. Others fail. Both can create useful knowledge.

03 / BUILD

Turn useful outcomes into platforms.

When a problem deserves a repeatable solution, we build something businesses can operate without depending on a consulting team.

THE PRINCIPLES

What we will not trade away for speed, hype or convenience.

01

Research before claims.

If something cannot be evidenced, it should not be presented as certainty. Good products should make their assumptions and limitations visible.

02

Humans remain the operators.

Technology can execute more work. People remain responsible for objectives, constraints, judgment and material decisions.

03

Build around outcomes.

The measure is not how impressive the technology looks. The measure is whether the result makes something genuinely easier, clearer or more useful.

04

Experiment because the future is not settled.

We do not assume today's AI architecture is the destination. Research and experimentation are how we keep learning as the technology changes.

05

Regulation belongs inside the product.

Rules that shape a market should influence product design from the beginning, not appear later as a compliance patch.

WHAT WE ARE BUILDING NOW

Different problems. One operating philosophy.

yellow3 is not built around one technology category. The common thread across the work is evidence, useful automation and reducing complexity for the people who have to make the decision.

01
Digital Product Passports
Independent research and buyer-side infrastructure for organisations trying to understand requirements, evaluate providers and implement Digital Product Passport programmes from evidence rather than sales claims.
02
AI market intelligence
Original measurement and decision intelligence on model adoption, capability, economics, providers and policy, including the live AI Model Adoption instrument.
03
Software creation
naffe.ai explores a different way to build software: define the outcome, then let technology handle far more of the engineering required to turn it into a working application.
LOWERING BARRIERS
Technology should give more people more capability, not make complexity a privilege.

Starting and operating a business is already difficult. Too many useful capabilities still require specialist teams, expensive consultants or infrastructure that smaller companies cannot justify.

Emerging technology can change that. We are interested in products that let entrepreneurs and smaller businesses do work that previously required far more people, time and capital.

That is one reason yellow3 keeps experimenting. The opportunity is larger than automating existing work. It is about widening access to what can be built and operated.

EUROPE + RESPONSIBILITY

Built in Europe. Engaged with the rules shaping what comes next.

yellow3 follows European technology, regulation and infrastructure closely, including work around Digital Product Passports and the EU AI regulatory environment.

We want regulation, evidence and sustainability to influence how products are designed while they are being built. Product transparency, circularity and better information are not separate from innovation. They are part of whether innovation is useful.

01
Evidence stays public where it can.

Research instruments, methods and datasets should be inspectable rather than hidden behind marketing claims.

02
Sustainability is a responsibility area.

We participate where emerging technology can improve transparency, circularity and better decisions about products and systems.

03
Products evolve with the rules.

Regulation and market requirements should continuously influence platform design.

RoleFounder, product direction, research and governance

yellow3 is shaped by more than three decades of building and operating technology businesses. That experience created a simple filter: impressive technology is not the same thing as useful technology.

The founder's role is an input into the products, not the delivery model. yellow3 is designed to build platforms and research infrastructure that can do the work without requiring the founder to become the service.

The recurring question behind the company is practical: what should technology make easier, what evidence would make the decision better, and where should people remain responsible?
