Scope
Every light means of transport (LMT) battery, every electric vehicle battery, and every industrial battery with a capacity above 2 kWh, placed on the market or put into service.
Responsibility
The economic operator placing the battery on the market must keep the passport accurate, complete and up to date. It may authorise another operator in writing to act on its behalf. A passport provider performs the technical work; the responsibility stays with the operator.
